Making Noise

We've had several people ask us, "Is he always this quiet? Does he ever make any noise?" Well, here's proof that the answers are "no" and "yes" respectively. And yes, this is a happy Jeremiah.

Sleep

Ok, we probably won't get much sympathy from our parents on this one, but here goes. That elusive sleeping through the night. When will it come? We get all kinds of answers when we ask that question. We're sure it will come but when? Can we do anything to help him sleep through the night, are we doing something wrong during the day, so he doesn't sleep all the way through. Maybe we just have to endure and wait. Waiting, now there's a subject we know something about.

Babysitters

We had a chance to go out tonight, an event for one of Mindy's freelance writing places. We dropped Jeremiah off at the babysitters hoping that he would do well and everything would be ok. As in the two other times we've entrusted him with a babysitter he has done really well. He has such a great disposition and is just very easy going. The babysitters have all commented on how great he does and how easy it has been to take care of him. We think he's great too.

Jeremiah's First Rice Cereal

We wanted to share Jeremiah's first experience with rice cereal. He did extremely well and really liked it.

First Christmas

We celebrated Jeremiah's first Christmas this week by heading out west to Grandma and Granddad Wilson's. Even though Jeremiah didn't really know much of what was going on, we had a great time.

Jeremiah got lots of great presents from both sides of the family, including lots of books, a piggy bank, cowboy and cowgirl rubber duckies and a Fisher Price animal train. Mommy and Daddy didn't give him a lot, since we knew the grandparents had been out shopping in full force. But we did get him the complete tales of Beatrix Potter and a swingset that he'll get to enjoy later on.

These Little Wonders

There is a Rob Thomas song that I really like called, "Little Wonders." Part of the chorus goes, "our lives are made in these small hours these little wonders..." We experienced a little wonder moment today when Jeremiah rolled from his back to his side! It's amazing how we love to see him smile, giggle and "blow bubbles." He truly is an amazing gift and a wonder to watch.

Jeremiah's Dedication

Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while. It's been busy with getting ready for Christmas, having company last weekend, and working on some freelance projects. But here are a few new pictures.


This past weekend was Jeremiah's dedication at church. It was extremely cold, but we had a good time with Jon's parents, brother and his wife and two boys. It was definitely quiet on Monday at our house with everyone gone, plus Jon on a trip.


Our two nephews, Isaiah and Phinehas, are a lot of fun, but they can also keep you on your toes. I imagined several times what it would be like in about a year from now when Jeremiah can run after them. That will be an adventure!
